What people say

Good

It’s been going through changes and handling the fast pace of the market well. Haven’t had any crazy problem that didn’t get fixed. It has been a safe place for beginners to stash away.

What I Love

Not only can you invest on your own terms but you can also use a Manged account. On top of that, you get education. I like the stock parties as well.

I am debating if I should cancel and cash-out of Stash. Reason is the monthly free has recently quadrupled since I began using Stash! I am recently retired and have limited income. I originally liked Stash because it was a place I could keep money for emergency that would grow better than a savings account. Now the fees may eat up more than my gains! I’m still considering if it is worth it to continue. The “value” of the new AI guidance feature is not worth the extra price.

Great app for beginners!

It's a great way to start small, especially when you dont know much about markets, but you know you need to start now. Most stocks are available for trade, and the ability to open multiple accounts on the same platform with no trade commisions, fractional shares, DRIP, and AI with a low subscription fee. The stash back concept it also great. They have an educational section, but the introduction of AI is making it easier to learn how the system works, and get specific questions answered. Their "managed" accounts and "auto-stash" make it super easy to get started, learn, and then find individual picks etc. I picked stash over other platforms because of their genuine care for people verses making more money. Thank you stash family for creating such an awesome company.

My two custodial accounts were moved from Stockpile to Stash when Stockpile closed. I didn’t pick Stash but was willing to give them a try. I like everything about it except their monthly fee. These are accounts where I make few transactions, mostly just letting them grow for my grandchildren. With Stockpile there were no monthly fees.

Reply from Stash2026-08-26

Hi Penny, We understand that being moved over from Stockpile and then seeing a monthly fee can feel like a big change, especially for custodial accounts that you use less often. We’re glad you’ve been willing to give Stash a try, and we hear your feedback on the pricing. If you’d like to talk through your options, please contact [email protected] or (800) 205-5164 (M–F, 8am–8pm ET). The Stash Team

Easy, Helpful, and Beginner-Friendly Investing

My experience with Stash has been very positive. The app is easy to use and makes investing feel much less complicated, especially for someone who wants to learn while building better financial habits. I like how everything is organized clearly and how simple it is to keep track of my investments and account activity. The overall user experience has been smooth, convenient, and helpful. I would definitely recommend Stash to anyone looking for an easy and beginner-friendly way to start investing.

Good app gone scam

I have been a Stash member for almost 10 years, but unfortunately will be closing my accounts immediately. Increasing the subscription price by 400% without ever notifying customers and then charging $100 per account to withdraw funds is incredibly distasteful business practice. The leaders of this company should be ashamed.
