They sell tickets, but when a show becomes popular or wins awards, they cancel your order so they can resell the tickets at a higher price. It's an awful business practice that feels like a scam. I would not recommend buying from them.

Firstly please let me say I actually love TodayTix so you may wonder why the 2 star rating. I’ve used them for years and have had some amazing bargains, and excellent lottery purchased, BUT, I’ve tried to get them for Hadestown for my Granddaughter, I actually don’t mind paying full price but thought I’d see what I could get through the lottery. Well I’ll tell you, absolutely nothing because EVERY TIME at 1 second past 10am they’re being held and then they’re gone. I don’t see how this is possible. You can’t hold the button BEFORE 10 am so please, why’s going on? Don’t say they’re popular, I know that! Something is not quite right here. Shame you don’t have a usable number anymore as I cannot see the 30 or so old shows I’ve seen prior and even following your reply/online advice they’re not viewing any more. Whilst I’m here 100% of the time I do buy tickets they eventually appear but when pressing ‘upcoming shows’ every time it says that I have none and obviously I do!?

Rush tickets are genuinely in incredibly high demand and do get snapped up within seconds of being released, which is why they can appear held almost immediately. To put it into context, there can be hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people trying all at the same time for a limited number of tickets. We'd always recommend keeping the app open on the Rush tab right at the release time to give yourself the best chance. On the upcoming shows issue, that's definitely not expected behaviour and we'd love to look into it. I am writing this re an employee called Cassian who today was outstanding. My daughter and her friend booked Beetlejuice matinee at the Prince Edward Theatre. On the way to Victoria there was a fatal incident on their train. All trains were cancelled. They were stuck, distraught after witnessing everything, had to get an uber which then due to traffic made them miss the show. I contacted TTix and Cassian was astonishing. He was sympathetic to this one off situation and gave them the ability to swap the tickets to the evening performance or another day. I am genuinely grateful and relieved and 100% recommend the company and customer services.

Would not use Today Tix again to purchase theatre tickets. Originally booked with them as we was gifted a voucher so we could only book through them. I purchased tickets for the Brainiac Live show and unfortunately my young daughter was sick on the day of the show. I emailed Today Tix to explain and to ask if they would as a good will gesture let us put the show date back to another day. This is the 6 weeks holiday and the show is not a sell out show with lots of dates still available..I was very disappointed that the response was just no. I won't be using this company again to book for future. My daughter is understandably upset as she was really looking forward to the show. Very disappointed. I could understand if the show was a sell out but it's simply a date change. Sometimes things are out of your control and in certain circumstances companies should make allowances particularly in the summer holidays. I even contacted the Garrick theatre and they advised that they would have simply changed the date for us but because we had booked through a third party unfortunately they couldn't do this for us.

Not a good return policy for sure. Customer service is over chat and the answers are canned with no one to speak to for urgent issues. Will not be using this site again.
