Regarding billing, there was one successful charge for the trademark registration package you selected. A separate filing fee, which is required to submit a trademark application, was attempted but was not successfully processed. This filing fee is disclosed on our website and throughout the checkout process. Per your request, we have canceled your order and issued a full refund for the charge you paid. The refund has been sent to your original form of payment, and you should see the funds within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer. While we work to help customers submit complete applications, the USPTO ultimately determines whether additional information, clarification, or legal arguments are required during its independent review. When an Office Action requires substantive legal analysis or response, that falls outside the scope of the initial filing service and is offered as an optional legal service. Customers are never required to purchase additional services and are free to respond on their own or seek representation from any attorney of their choosing.
