I like there are many options to choose from each week and that I can swap out meat types if I want. For example, ground beef in exchange for ground turkey.

As a health concious but busy family, we did one week of 5 Green Chef meals and enjoyed the recipes we picked out. Some of the produce (like spinach) was kind of gross but we could deal with picking the wilty/mushy leaves out. I was frustrated by this service advertising itself as organic when you have to pay quite a bit extra for any organic proteins. I was also very frustrated with the AI assisted website. Every time I tried logging in, the site was incredibly slow and clunky. Also, it never let me add my free items that were advertised upon signing up. Very frustrating. Lastly, the customer service is terrible. I called to try and cancel a shipment that had not been shipped out yet and was told no by a bored customer service agent. I wasn't able to login to pick my meals and will be receiving 4 meals (when my subscription was for 5) that I won't enjoy or eat because of dietary restrictions. I know all this sounds very Karen of me. However, with the cost attached to this service, I really expected better. Basically, this service is great for being inspired to cook and get ideas for recipes but that's it. You're really better off not paying for Green Chef. If their customer service was better, I would have tried another box but they obviously don't care about their customer's experience. I will also note that Green Chef is owned by Hello Fresh. I had a much better experience with Hello Fresh when I tried them out about 8/10ish years ago before they were super popular and heavily relied on AI. Their customer service was much better back then.

I will never order from them again. I used to get HelloFresh and I thought I would try them out two of the meats a fillet and a fish tilapia. The packaging was open blood and fish juice leaked all over the rest of the packaging and this could technically get someone killed and this I know because I’m a registered nurse I will never ever order it from there again and I highly recommend others think about the quality of their service. I will be going back to HelloFresh.

I used Blue Apron for years, then tried Home Chef. Green Chef is way better than either one of them. Very fresh and healthy ingredients, unique flavor and texture combos, and easy to prepare recipes. Love it!

I received a late box last week, meats were no longer cold due to melted ice packs. I cannot risk eating. I need full refund of box delivered 7/23. I do not want a free box, or a credit. I want a refund.

They make you give your payment info before you can look at meals and and ingredients. I did not see any meals that I could eat being gluten and dairy free so I canceled the account. I was still charged for a box of meals I did not want and I could not eat even if I wanted to. I called customer service and they would not give me a refund. VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY.

The food is generally good but the app and website are terrible. I was trying to get in to change my order for two days but kept getting a message saying the website was having trouble. I was not able to update my order and by the time I got into the system to fix it, it was too late and I am now being sent, and being charged for, food I don't want. This isn't the first time I've had trouble with the website and changing orders. Frequently the order doesn't update after I change and save it and I have to go in and change it multiple times.

I love most of the meals and the way things come ready to prepare. The only reason I took away a store is that I think they are too many couscous and rice recipes and they start feeling like the same. Also, when you talk about how much time it takes to make something it should include the prep time which I don’t believe it does.
