I received my order and something smelled awful, come to fine the cauliflower rice was bad. Then when I went to go make my second meal I was missing one of the main ingredients a green pepper. Portions are getting smaller.

You can tell this food delivery service was bought out by a large corporation . Service all AI and so cheap on fresh produce. I used to love this brand but it has changed . B

It seems I should have read these 1-star reviews before signing in to possibly start the service, since it's exactly what happened to me. I wanted to write a review to warn others of the scam-like practices. I had to create an account to try to see what choices I had for food restrictions, then put in a card to see a menu. They get you by having to sign up before you can look at the menu or change it. The menu included things I marked I couldn't (food allergies) and didn't like to eat (it only satisfied some of them and not others- things that were for allergies, like gluten-free, dairy-free, or soy-free). I couldn't figure out how to change anything-I don't think you can, so I canceled immediately (within minutes!), got a verification email that it was canceled, and a delivery showed up. I called that day to get a refund, and basically they said, too bad, in the "terms and conditions" it states you have to call to cancel. Why would I call? I used the cancel on their website and the email said it was canceled. I'm so angry with them! Almost $300 in groceries I cannot eat. I would tell everyone never to use them. And as for the hope they make things right, I'm seeing from the reviews, they don't. They just reply to every negative review that they will reach out and they don't. And they don't make things right, they say, "we will use this to make ourselves better in the future ", but they keep repeating this, so they aren't improving, as shown by it happening to me the same as others.
Edit: I did get contacted, and they did offer an explanation that since I picked quick and easy meals, it overrides all allergies and food preferences, which is not clear when they guide you through choices. Food preference/allergy/diet choice should trump everything because that affects health. There was no way to make changes after menus populated - I triedto deleteand change things. Also, they plug you in for a meal delivery immediately. As a new customer, I think they should give a couple days, at least, knowing there might be some mistakes and that wouldallow for changes. There was absolutely no time to change, as I signed up a few minutes before 9:48 PM tried to contact them and got an automated email at 9:48 PM telling me to find the cancellation option on their website. I got a cancel confirmation email at 10:27 pm and the deadline was apparently at 11:59 pm because the delivery got automatically put in for the first available, which was the next day. I don't believe these things are clearly communicated to the customer when taken through the sign up and not good business practices.

GreenChef requires you to enter your credit card before you can even see the menu. Even if you cancel right away, they still charge you for the first order, and getting a refund is almost impossible. They will fight you for a half hour before they give in. I finally had to have the charge reversed on my card. This is fraudulent and misleading. Nowhere in the terms and conditions does it say you cannot cancel your subscription to cancel all orders. I was in time. Their charge was put through the day after I cancelled. They are getting away with stealing money.

So far the food has been good to great, with good quality ingredients and easy to follow instructions. There has been a few minor errors with ingredients but when support was contacted, future orders were adjusted to reflect recompense for the previous issues.

Great food, saves money, no more wondering what am I gonna fix?
Wonderful receipes and selection of food. Fresher than the grocery, how they do that, i can't figure out but , they did! The pork is better as well, delicious.
More cooking than I want during the summer, so I paused but I do miss it. My grocery bill went down as well. I stopped coming home from the grocery and tried to figure out what to cook? Green Chef is a winner.

I have been chef since 2019 and I absolutely love it. I only have one complaint, but wasn’t worth giving four stars for it. I wish on The weeks that I did not put my requests in that it would automatically know my taste from previous orders and choose those. I don’t eat pork or tilapia ever for some reason, every time I don’t choose my order, those are the two I get!
