Very satisfied with my new closet. The alto brand is pure luxury. Love the soft close drawers. The corner shelving eliminates wasted space. I especially liked being able to design my space with the products offered. Delivery was quick and product was well packaged. Would definitely recommend Modular Closets.

Ordered shelving for three closets which included a master closet and two pantry closets. The shelving arrived over a week late. All of the parts were jumbled together without any installation instructions and no way to tie the parts back to the closet it belonged to. This is like trying to put together three different puzzles with all of the pieces thrown in a box and no pictures of how the three puzzles are supposed to look! I called the customer service number and a recording said that I had reached them outside of normal business hours. It was 1:30 pm EST on a Friday. I guess that isn't normal business hours for Modular Closets. I left a message and have not heard back from anyone. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Entire process was awesome. It was great to have a designer show your closet design and all the different options and finishes before purchasing. Delivery was good, product was not damaged during transit. Installation was straightforward following the instructions. Will be purchasing another closet package in the future.

My only concern is the packaging and the selection of shippers. The packaging is not as robust as it could be. This coupled with shippers that were pretty rough on the boxes allowed some components to be damaged. Fortunately, I was able to shift those around the areas that were not noticeable. The thoroughness of my order was simply amazing. The instructions are easy to follow and I was able to assemble my entire closet with three walls in one day. The products were labeled clearly and I enjoyed the process of putting everything together. Finished product. We are very happy with. It’s exactly what I’d hoped it would be.

Great design for a smaller walk in closet

Working with our designer Leah to create our closet was fantastic. She nailed the vision we had and the closet turned out just as we envisioned. While we had a multitude of issues with wrong, damaged or missing parts, our customer service liaison, Caroline, was quick to respond and replace the needed components. Instructions for installation were easy to follow and once we “got the hang of it”, we were able to build our units in a timely manner.

The inventory sheet of the shipment did not match what was delivered. Boxes were mislabeled, so it was very confusing to put it together. No videos of any quality gave any assistance on how to install. To hang your clothes the template given, your clothes would hang out halfway in your closet. I had to re-drill and make a new holes so the clothes would hang inside the closet. I would not recommend this product because of the difficult, mislabeling, the helpdesk took four days to respond and way the clothes hang in the closet.

Waiting four days for customer service to get back to you made an already overwhelming situation worse and is not the standard we hold ourselves to. While our 14.5” depth is designed as a slim profile where clothes hang slightly past the frame, we clearly failed at communicating that and supporting you through the build. We're forwarding your feedback directly to our team so we can give our customers better support and clearer expectations from the start.
Objectively, the quality is just awful. It's the cheapest of cheap chipboard. It has a laminate that chips easily around the holes. The instructions are misleading. I had to make alterations along the way for it to fit together. I was short of simple hardware / dowels I wish I had chosen another solution, but having waited for so long to get it - I ran out of time and had to use it. I would not recommend this to anyone. Go to The Home Depot or Ikea instead. Massively disappointed.

My order was missing my closet design pdf. I had to frequently go online to obtain assembly instructions. Overall, I am happy now that we have finished the installation.

The product is amazing and the customer service is even better. We bought four closets and all of them are different but great. The quality is phenomenal and pretty easy to assemble. The design team was phenomenal, and we were able to be online together to make changes. Then, I simply got a link to go ahead and purchase what we had just talked about online. Simple!

Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience all around which is a shame because I was really excited for my new closet. Spent just over 5k on a new closet and while the closet itself was fine, the rest of the process was atrocious. After getting my 20+ boxes delivered, I opened everything up and there was no hardware or instructions. They sent me the hardware but paid no attention and just threw bags of hardware in because I have 10+ bags of extra hardware. They still forgot any kind of instructions. Once getting everything up, I realize they forgot the brackets for the rods so I had to reach out yet again to get those delivered. My house has been in shambles for over 2 weeks now with clothes everywhere since I haven’t been able to put them back in the closet since there was constantly something missing. For spending 5k, I expected a lot more from them. Very disappointed.
