Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the extremely helpful staff and the exceptionally smooth design process that makes creating personalized custom spaces surprisingly easy and enjoyable. People also really love the final product, noting that the materials feel luxurious, look wonderful, and fit perfectly into their available home areas.
However, some customers also noted occasional issues with missing or damaged components arriving upon delivery. A few people experienced unexpected difficulties during assembly due to missing hardware pieces or unclear instructions provided in the boxes. Shea was really helpful and knowledgeable on how to layout our complicated closet area with lots of obstacles to deal with. Shea was able to get the most usable storage space for us. We are very thankful for all his abilities and experiences. The Modular Closet components came in quickly with all the parts and well illustrated instructions. We had a lot of components with our design so I won’t kid you but it took a good 5 to 6 hours of dedicated time to assemble and attach each component level and to the studding in the wall. The products are really well designed with very high quality types of materials being used. I’m sure they will last many many years free of defects. If in the future I did need additional closet designs, I would not hesitate to call on Modular Closets again. Great group of people to work with, you won’t regret it.

This is incredible to hear, Russ! A complicated space with lots of obstacles is exactly where our team loves to shine, and we are so glad Shea was able to maximize every inch of storage for you. Putting together a large, high-quality closet definitely takes time, so props to you for knocking out the assembly in 5-6 hours. Thanks for the high praise and the recommendation. Best of luck with your newly organized space!

The design process went well. Delivery was quick. The problem arise when they sent two of the same sides for my hutch base, did not send any directions for sssemblung the hutch or corner pieces. When they sent. Replacement side, they sent the same side again. They finally got the right piece delivered nd I I was Ble to finish my closet, albeit four weeks late.

We're truly sorry for the mix-ups with your hutch pieces and the missing instructions, Karl. We recently moved warehouse locations, which unfortunately caused some unexpected shipping issues on our end. We really appreciate your patience while we got the correct parts out to you, and have made it a top priority to ensure this doesn't happen again. We're glad you were finally able to complete your closet, and hope you enjoy the organized space for years to come!
Tyler in the design team was an amazing support and others in the customer service highly responsive

It's great to hear that Tyler and the rest of our customer service team provided such responsive support, David! Good communication is so important, especially mid-project, so we make sure to prioritize it. Wishing you the best with your newly organized space!
We had a couple of issues with our install. One issue was our fault in that the actual closet foot print changed during construction. After conversion with Clara, Modular Closets sent us new shelves to accommodate the actual space for no additional cost. The other issue had to do with drawer assembly. Again I contacted MC and they replaced the defective kits. All of our interactions with Modular Closets has been pleasant and professional.
The material was great and the fit up was easy. The instructions were okay but you need to pay close attention to the fasteners placement.
Great product!

We couldn’t have been happier with our closet order. The quality of the drawers exceeded my expectations. It took me a full day and a half to install. But the instructions were very clear to follow. This was for a medium sized walk in closet with two drawer sections.

Quality product, but process to install can be overwhelming …
Originally, the amount of equipment we received was overwhelming and the installation directions were very general. After getting the first section built, the following sections were a simple repeat. One note to anyone buying this system… do not rely on the support help line. Contact your salesperson direct to get top shelf support. I would buy the product again, but would change a few things on the layout now that I have the experience.

That first section is definitely the hardest part, but it's great to hear that once you got momentum going, the rest of your closet fell into place! Since our designers work with you from day one, they really are the best shortcut for any support needs during assembly. We hope you enjoy your newly installed system for many years to come!
This was such a great experience! From start to finish, the Modular Closets team supported us with a live project manager, helped us use the design app as well as to manage the product to fit our budget! And on top of that, they were available to chat or converse with us by phone on weekends. I don’t know of any other company that supports you in that way. We tried other online closet businesses and no other company gave nearly the same level of care. We will use the for all future projects!!!

Modular Closets was very easy to work with. I looked at a similar closet in Colorado, but Modular Closets had the corner tower and a finished floor piece. For $400 more, the Colorado company did not have the tower and finished floor piece. Modular Closets was a better deal and every question and concern was promptly addressed. They have great customer service. The installed closet looks great and is very functional; my entire experience with them was positive.

Thanks for the 5 stars, Darryl! Fast and accurate is exactly what we aim for, and we glad we delivered. We appreciate your business and wish you all the best!
After fully installing the product, I love both my closet and pantry. The reason I have a 4 instead of a five star, was because the initial plan did not consider the light switch location. The replacement section of the closet was sent, for free, once reviewed with customer service that the error was made at design. Overall, the customer service process was good. Love the product!

Fast excellent service from start to finish. The one minor issue with a part was resolved quickly and efficiently.
