Avoid this company at all costs. We missed a connecting flight in Houston on our way to Auckland and got stuck there. The airline told us they couldn’t help because we booked through a third-party agency—Ovago—and we had to go through them instead. That’s when the real nightmare began. Ovago not only failed to assist us, but they also canceled our entire trip, including our return flights from Australia, claiming the airline was to blame and there was nothing they could do. Their customer service was rude, unhelpful, and incredibly frustrating to deal with. After hours on the phone, I finally got both Ovago and the airline on a conference call, during which the airline gave Ovago permission to rebook us on the same flight for the following day. They still didn’t book it. I stood at the gate while the flight was boarding, on yet another call with both parties, and Ovago continued to do nothing. Fortunately, the airline stepped up, did an override, and reopened the gate to get us on the plane. This company was a complete failure at every step. I wouldn’t trust them with a bus ticket, let alone international travel. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we did.

I had a very bad experience with this travel agency. I booked a ticket from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Cairo, and I made it very clear that Cairo was my final destination. But when I received my ticket, I was shocked to see that my final destination was Rome instead. I asked the airline if there was a flight from Rome to Cairo, and they told me the flight was full. This created a huge problem for me and disrupted all my travel plans. The agent misled me and did not tell me the full truth about the ticket. I feel like I was tricked. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. They need to be more honest and responsible when booking flights for people.

This is the first time I used Ovago, I was very skeptical about it. Was it a legit platform for plane ticket ? Then, how can they afford to have such a good real-person, over-the-phone customer service ? Until Gany, the representative who helped me secured a ticket to a second tier city in China 3 days before the departure day, I found my earlier worry is unnecessary. Gany is throughout, polite, patience and fast responding. I would recommend Gany to anyone who love good customer service. Oh, the ticket price i paid is comparable to other online platforms.

The WORST TRAVEL AGENCY I’ve ever used! Lost thousands! Once booked they don’t keep up with your booking. But they did email about how our flight changed. It changed 2x and then they said if you except the change you’ll loss your prepaid seat, luggage and travel protection. We excepted but they got the luggage and seat forwarded by calling the airlines directly. That was after arguing with them. Ultimately, our flight to Brazil was lost because of a new rule implemented in April 2025 by Brazil, we book this flight in March, that US citizens must have a evisa! Ovago representives DId not send out any information about this to there customers. They are definitely not InSight, Globus or even Cosmo who keep all their costumer inform. I got so stress I became sick over this. I called them about the evisa 2 days prior to our flight and the rep said the reference number give by the gov department were good to use. That was a lie! Silver Airways won’t even check us in to our flight without the actual cards which were on their way. We called at airport Ovago and they said they could modify our trip but the cost was more then the original booking because of the loss of prepaid seats and luggage!!! Our entire trip was ruined. Ovago won’t help you but will then screw over in the end. They supervise said they are not illegally obligated to inform us of anything but I did call to check if the reference number were enough… they said yes. We booked another trip through United took a a $2000 loss. They offered us a possibility of a $50 voucher.!!!! I bought insurance which did not help w this. Unbelievable! Do not use them. They blame everything on policies and the airlines. Here’s another customers google review Ovago has been the absolute WORST… Ovago has been the absolute WORST booking experience of my life. Don't make my rookie international flight mistake. DO NOT USE THEM. I booked a flight from Houston to Cusco back in April. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to change the flight location from Houston to Dallas, which is where I live. I also needed to change the date on the return flight. Not only did it take "24 hours" hours for them to get back to you for every request, they would send you the most asinine option (only 1 option, never multiple to choose from) to change to (think like a 12 hour layover in Atlanta) and then ask you to pay $1,100 for the change (to change the airport) or $550 (for the date change). I was on the phone with them everyday for almost a week and literally nothing was solved. I still have the original flight that I booked but from my understanding, even though I haven't left yet, if your flight is cancelled or rebooked or you miss a connection you are absolutely SOL since you are not technically a customer of the airline, you've a customer of the third party (who doesn't really care if you get on the flight or not). I asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times, I asked for a refund because it honestly is just going to be easier to rebook the entire flight (apparently that's not an option but when I looked for Ovago's airline policy, it's no where to be found?). SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DO NOT BOOK WITH OVAGO. Also pray for me that I get to Peru and back :)
