What people say

Zero stars- Avoid!

zero stars really. And Trust pilot already removed my first review! Let that sink in. A company so committed to manufactured credibility that they scrub legitimate complaints from a clinician with five years of documented experience. I have been a Tebra customer since before it was Tebra, when it was still Kareo. Five years of premium payments for a system that routinely failed at its most basic functions. Appointment notifications that did not work despite correct setup and repeated escalations. Forms that failed to submit. Claims that did not process. Billing issues that sat unresolved for weeks because their customer service model is built on attrition. You call, they tell you to email. You email, you hear nothing. You call again, you get someone new who cannot help you and starts the cycle over. These are clinical and financial issues. A week of silence from a vendor managing your scheduling and billing is not acceptable in any industry, and it is dangerous in healthcare. On top of the dysfunction, they nickel and dime you for every additional feature while refusing to be accountable for the core services you are already overpaying for. I have the invoices. I have the support tickets. I have the communication records. Every word of this is documented. If Trustpilot removes this review, they are telling you exactly who they work for, and it is not the consumer. Tebra pays to look reputable. Do not be fooled by their rating on this platform.I do not leave reviews lightly. Run. 

Thank you for sharing your experience again. As we mentioned in our previous response to your reviews on behalf of Pakaloha Care and Aloha Advanced Care, we deeply regret that our platform and support fell short of your expectations. We respect your decision to decline our offers of assistance and remain committed to working with you if you choose to engage with our outreach attempts. Reposting after Trustpilot removed my…

Reposting after Trustpilot removed my legitimate review under pressure from Tebra. I have the emails & reciepts! I ran a cash-based practice on Tebra, formerly Kareo, for nearly five years. The sales process is where they shine. The demos are polished, the promises are impressive, and none of it reflects the reality of daily use. Patient appointment notifications were unreliable at best and completely absent at worst. I submitted support cases asking why patients were not receiving confirmations. Those cases sat unanswered for months. My patients missed appointments because the system failed to communicate with them and no one at Tebra could explain or fix it. When I needed support for an actual clinical workflow issue, there was no one. Customer service for anything touching real practice operations does not exist. Cases opened sat for months without resolutions. The telehealth feature was not a clinical tool. It was a checkbox on a marketing page. When I cancelled and moved to a competitor at one-third the cost, Tebra billed me for an additional month citing a 30-day notice requirement that did not exist in my original Kareo contract. That is not a policy. That is THEFT. After I left and posted my honest experience, Tebra had the audacity to contact me asking me to remove the review. When I refused, they went to Trustpilot. Trustpilot emailed me. I responded confirming this was a legitimate review based on nearly five years of documented experience. They removed it anyway. That sequence of events raises a serious question about what Trustpilot actually is. If a platform emails a reviewer asking them to confirm authenticity, receives confirmation, and still removes the review after a paying advertiser applies pressure, they are not a review platform. They are a reputation management service for companies that can afford to use them. I cannot name a single strength of Tebra. I have receipts & email communications for everything I have stated here. Providers deserve better. There are better systems. Find one.

My experience onboarding with Tebra…

My experience onboarding with Tebra over the past four months has included unresolved billing discrepancies, repeated communication breakdowns, canceled data import requests, and disruptions to my existing clearinghouse setup that impacted claims submission for my practice. Despite written confirmation of quoted pricing, costs changed multiple times, and the imported data remains unusable to date. The delays and duplicate systems have resulted in significant ongoing operational expenses for my practice.

Reply from Tebra2026-06-05

We sincerely apologize for the frustrating onboarding experience and the disruptions it caused to your practice. While we are glad you were able to work with our customer care team to fully resolve the billing discrepancies, we deeply regret the communication breakdowns and data import issues you experienced. We understand the significant impact these challenges had on your operations. This is not the level of service we strive to provide, nor is it the experience we want for any of our customers.

Christopher Laguna…

I was trained by Christopher Laguna from Tebra to use their EMR and Billing software. It was a great experience. He was very helpful. He was patient with me since I am not a techy person.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great training experience. Learning new software can feel overwhelming, so it's fantastic to know Christopher's patience made our EMR and billing systems easy for you to grasp.

Worst buisness decision of my career

1) COnstantly logs itself out even WHILE i am writitng a note frequently erasing the note 2)scripts do not reliably get to the pharmacy ( dangerous for patients) 3) med list separate from prescribing so things need to be re written to send 4) Limited space for stored editable text( their word for templates) actual templates are cumberssome 5) Constant adertisements and pop ups to sell more tebra aproducts need to reject cookies again with each log on on which is frequent since it keeps sigmng itself out for no reason often WHILE I am writing a note this is only a brief list of the MANY issues

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Patients were receiving incorrect bills, and when I called for clarification, I was given no clear answers and told they would follow up. They asked for proof, which I sent, but I never heard back and had to call again. The next representative acted like they knew nothing about the issue and made excuses about having limited time per customer, as if I should not expect proper follow-up. I also found some representatives to be dismissive and condescending. Overall, very unprofessional communication and lack of accountability.

This company has had such bad reviews

This company has had such bad reviews - they took down their own google account. Lost thousands of dollars and months of business because their clearinghouse Trizetto could not connect to certain payors so i was not paid- did not know when I was going to paid and had to turn down customers. Their service dept does not speak English and does not know how to do anything. LITERALLY the worst EHR on the planet!

I rarely leave negative reviews

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this EHR system has been one of the most frustrating platforms I have ever worked with in healthcare administration. What should streamline workflows instead creates constant inefficiencies, billing delays, and unnecessary staff burden. The user interface is outdated and incredibly unintuitive. Simple tasks require multiple unnecessary steps, pages freeze regularly, and reporting functionality is extremely limited unless you manually manipulate data outside the system. For a program that is supposed to support healthcare operations, it consistently slows them down. The billing side is especially problematic. Claims management lacks transparency, payment posting workflows are clunky, and troubleshooting issues often feels impossible because error messaging is vague or nonexistent. Staff spend more time trying to work around the software than actually completing productive work. Customer support has also been disappointing. Response times are slow, issues frequently go unresolved, and the answers provided often feel scripted rather than genuinely helpful. Critical problems impacting operations should not take days or weeks to address. For the amount organizations invest in EHR systems, there should be a significantly higher standard for functionality, reliability, and support. Unfortunately, this platform has created more operational stress than efficiency for our team.

If I could give a negative star review…

If I could give a negative star review I would. This company was horrible to work with. The platform did not preform as we had been told. There were two versions and they did not communicate with each other. So our books were off. Insurance ERA's were not coming into the system as they were supposed to. Clients were getting reminders with inaccurate information. We tried to shut down the platform and they still were scheduling appointments in their system for our clients even after we stopped using them. Overall it was not user friendly and created more problems for our office.

Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible. I have had multiple occasions with 1hr+ phone conversations and the issues never get resolved. The issues I call about are all billing related. They are not challenging issues either, I am just green in the billing world. I was told by the onboarding person that someone with no billing experience can manage this which is false. I have tried getting escalated to a manager without success numerous times as well. They have customer support agents that don't know what they are doing. They put you on hold for 10-15 minutes at a time while trying to figure out the problem. Once you are onboarded you are left in the dark with only a ticketing service to submit issues to which again, the agents are clueless. You don't have a personal email to anyone to ask for support. I have had tickets not responded to for over 10 days with me following up multiple times without a response. Then when I call and ask they say they are unable to respond to the ticket due to the incoming calls.
