Food is at great cold temperature Food is delivered at accepted time I love the fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables. Meat portions are small for our liking My first order I got 3 bags of small cucumbers. They were mushy and I had to throw most of them out.

Since I am diabetic, have kidney issues, and blood pressure problem controlled by meds, and higher cholesterol I must watch carbs and sodium contents. This limits my choices with any home food meal delivery company. I have found some meals I can use which are tasty. I cannot stand for more than 5 minutes in preparing food due to back issues. I am adjusting to the limited choices and appreciate choices I do have.

I have just started and so far i am hooked. The service and quality of food is awesome. Being a single person that rarely goes out to eat this service is perfect. I have always meal prepped but for one you have to eat the same thing all week. With hungryroot i get two servings and make about 3 different things all weeks.

I am on the fence at the moment about the overall value of Hungryroot. We have been subscribers of Cook Unity for 5+ months and have enjoyed the simplicity of choosing meals and even more simplicity of fixing the precooked meals in the microwave. Hungryroot does offer more simplistic recipes and preparation from other meal plan services by using precooked protein, precut and prepackaged veggies and I really like that. So far the quality of protein and lack of flavor is concerning. We've only made three recipes so far and will try one or two more weeks of recipes before I determine next steps for our family.

I’ve looked at this for a long time, thinking it was a splurge and to much, but I’m impressed. The food has been great and it’s something different. I don’t have to buy a giant bottle is something or 10 bottles of spices. The instructions easy to follow and fun. Cheaper than eating out and no tips!

Service is great. I like the ease of ordering and less trips to the grocery store; although I am still on the fence as to if the service is worth the money as there are quite a few salad and burger recipes and the pasta dishes seem to use marina vs spaghetti sauces. I was hoping there would be more varity with organic produce/fruit as well as free range/pasture raised chicken dishes. Tried to find out how/where the chicken is sourced but couldn't. My main concern is genetically modified food, your ingredient list for items don't really specify this. I think I have figured the search options to get the healthier options just not that large of a varity but I am not giving up yet as the food is good.

I'm very pleased I decided to try Hungryroot. My husband and I were becoming bored with food. Hungryroot offers new recipes and we are now excited to be back in the kitchen cooking. Ingredients: I was surprised and excited to see our first order contained good quality items like organic, fresh herbs, and protein pastas etc.. Hungryroot makes eating healthy taste so good. P.S. Love the plantfood/cold packets. Have feed all my plants as well.

The food and recipes are good, but the delivery can be unsafe in warm weather. The uncooked protein is packed at the bottom on ice; it is not contained and shifts during shipment. My last shipment was above safe temperature in spite of icepacks. The following week they changed to one single paper covered gel icepack, and bundled the proteins together in one bag, but the gel pack melted, and the meat was warm. The condition was worse than the prior week. I cannot risk my health, so I'll cancel in the warm months.
