My client’s domain lapsed in May of 2026. Trying to renew it was a total nightmare. UK2’s customer telephone number was never answered once throughout June, July and August. Neither were website submitted forms actioned on by UK2 customer/billing support. 2 postal letters were sent asking to process domain renewal and still UK2 did not reply sufficiently or renew the domain. 3 months completely wasted.
The domain was released for sale recently and we therefore jumped ship and went straight to IONOS to purchase the domain and apply email services. Took 60 minutes, and my client now has his domain and email working again.
Avoid UK2 at all costs. Having helped clients with other domain sellers like Ionos, GoDaddy and Easyspace, I can honestly say this is the worst service I have seen provided by a UK domain reseller.
I have used UK2 for numerous websites over what must be 20 years or more.
Whenever I’ve had to call them regarding any problems I have very helpful either by phone or a live chat with a real person.
I don’t have a clue about URLs, hosting, SSL certificated, moving domains etc etc so it’s pleasure to speak to a person in the UK who doesn’t treat me like a three year old.
I don’t need to know what’s going on in the background of a website - I just want it to work and I want it to work NOW!
The last live chat I had a couple of days ago was with a very helpful and polite technical support person who actual did for me everything that I was unable to fathom out myself. In fact, around a year ago I had a far worse and harder issue to resolve and the person I spoke to did everything at his end for me. On both occasions they talked me through what I could do to resolve the issue myself next time and sent me a word by word transcript of our discussions which I’ve printed out and filed for future reference.
I highly recommend UK2 for anyone at any level, including numpties like me.

I do not do well with this internet stuff and even less so with managing webpages. However I have been a customer of UK2 for thousands of years, or so it seems (probably over ten years) and even though I struggle every year to do stuff, the UK2 staff have always been very patient whist helping me.
