Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People reported consistently negative experiences concerning the business's pricing structure and the performance of the company's official website. Furthermore, there is a general sentiment that the organization provides poor service throughout customer interactions.
Conversely, a small portion of people felt the service provided was first-class, noting instances of proficient work in various fields. Some consumers were satisfied with the professionals they interacted with, describing staff members as friendly, professional, and capable of detailing services thoroughly.

I am filing this complaint regarding Yelp’s review filtering practices and the impact they are having on my business.
Our business currently has approximately 37 five-star customer reviews that Yelp has placed in the “not recommended” section. These reviews appear to be from legitimate customers who used our services and took the time to share their experiences. However, Yelp does not include these reviews in our displayed rating, making them difficult for potential customers to find.
This creates a misleading impression of our business and does not accurately represent the feedback we have received from our customers. Yelp does not provide a clear explanation of why each review was removed from the recommended section, nor does it provide a meaningful appeal process for the business owner or reviewer.
I understand that Yelp uses automated software to identify potentially unreliable reviews. However, when dozens of legitimate five-star reviews are excluded, the system appears unfair, inaccurate, and damaging to the reputation of the business.
I am requesting that Yelp:
1. Conduct a manual review of the 37 five-star reviews currently marked as “not recommended.”
2. Provide a specific explanation for why each review was filtered.
3. Restore any reviews that were submitted by verified, legitimate customers.
4. Provide a fair and transparent appeal process for businesses affected by review filtering.
5. Correct our displayed rating to accurately reflect all legitimate customer feedback.
These reviews directly affect consumer perception, search visibility, and our ability to compete fairly. Businesses should not be financially or reputationally harmed by an automated system without transparency, accountability, or a reasonable opportunity to challenge inaccurate decisions.
I am requesting a written response explaining what Yelp will do to investigate and resolve this issue.
BE WARNED!!!
As soon as you sign up, you get inundated with sales calls for Google and other platforms. We closed our account almost a month ago and are still getting several (at least 5) calls each day! At this point it's harassment! When I called and asked the account rep how we could stop the calls, he told me to start writing down all the phone numbers the calls were coming from and then he would "escalate it."
Very poor service. Money, money, money ! Anything seems possible on that platform -- if you have the money. Yelp has been "overworked" for eight years that I know of and have never successfully added a business. Negative reviews for businesses that PAY MONEY to Yelp seem to disappear and are never posted. I have filed many that are "now Live !!!" but have never appeared. They are located in San Francisco. Draw your own conclusions.
We were contemplating changing the shutters on our home since the ones we have are 40 years old and totally faded. We contacted a local company who gave us a price of $250-$300 a pair installed. We have 16 shutters and we felt that was way out of line especially since we checked and found we could buy them new under $60 a piece. The bad thing was they did not make the color we wanted. I then contacted Spectrum Painting in Pompton Lakes, N.J. And asked for a quote in painting the ones we had on the house. What a great decision. Gregory from Spectrum showed up and did his magic with a brush. It looks like a completely different house. Spectrum also restrained our very expensive front entrance door several years ago. The sun actually bleached the bottom half of the door. When they were done it looked better than new. I also had the storm door window tinted and I’ll never have that problem again. Great attitudes, personalities, and workmanship. Awesome job for a reasonable price.
Yelp is so terrible built like 22 Savage slightly above average piece of crap built like moldy cabbage that you're so fat you pressed up on the elevator and it went down just like your business in 20 years.
Yelp is NOT HELPFUL! They do not screen or vet the businesses that they post. Using the Yelp app, I've been contacted by many dishonest and incompetent businesses. Totally wasting my time. Many of the businesses have be very rude, and only appear to want money. Yelp is a platform promoting scams and con artists!
I stayed at a family resort and found out a registered pedo lived there. I posted a review of the resort Sun outdoors Sarasota and someone from the resort called me after that my review was moved to the “not recommended “ dead zone. So apparently yelps $$ is more important than protecting children? Yelp fails. I had pictures and of course my receipts but the business paid to take it down.
YELP.com!!!
BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!
The people in charge are a bunch of uneducated Leptons who are society rejects, smart as a box of hair sitting with their laptops stroking their little poor apathetic egos while munching on cheese puffs, then logging off to their lonely, sad unloved existence!
Is that a site you want to spend time and leave comments???
Outdated, zero leads, customer service is awful. No email for upcoming charges after free trial (which netted zero leads). Do not waste your time, especially if you are a new business.
A small cafe, which openly practices discrimination against disabled senior citizens and even presumes to play God over what patrons may and may not say; have more cameras than needed to surveil their customers and the owner was even overheard to brag about listening devices...Note: may have been referring to the head gear employees wear to communicate with one another...had negative reviews placed on Yelp with mine being among them.
How did Yelp respond? When this fascist little cafe saw the negative reviews on Yelp they labeled them as harassment so Yelp removed it. Moreover Google started to delete my account on the grounds of violating their community policies.
I am a small business owner and Yelp coerced me into purchasing an ad package claiming an 80% increase in potential clientele. After one month and $400 I had zero new leads and no new clients. Yelp shows you these colorful charts with organic lead and none of it is true. The are undermining small business and no small business should use their services.
Yelp is a scam and uses an AI system to filter what they believe is to be real verse non real reviews and is holding 75% of my reviews from being viewed when they are legit reviews. Horrible process and no way to fix or appeal.
When a company does a temporary hold that looks or is totally unreasonable there’s a reason they do this; if their company does that coast-to-coast that’s totals an ocean of money and the total INTEREST that they make in a full year might surprise you! So a ton of this better drop off because I just paid $20.88 for a ride that was literally 0.6 miles!
Me not happy. And there’s no way for me to contact anybody & they have sent me a dozen messages now when I’ve knocked on that door that all charges are appropriate. Like h*** they are!!!
Global Heating and Cooling, 2167971230, was the best HVAC install experience ever. Been a homeowner over 50 years. Four properties. Owner operated. Doesn't have to follow Co rules/guidelines. Prompt. Courteous. Work done when promised. He will deliver. Highly recommend.
On May 27, 2026, I contacted Ambassador Pools Inc. to ask about above-ground pool service and was referred to Dynamic Pools. I contacted Ryan, made it clear this was an above-ground pool, and provided my address and photos. After that, communication was inconsistent, and I had to keep following up for service. They finally came out on June 2 at approximately 9:19 PM. At that time, I was told they found a dead animal in the pool and that the price would increase from $400 to $1,000. Although this was unexpected, I agreed and told them to proceed. During the service, they connected the smaller sand filter to the pool. That filter had been purchased on June 23, 2025, and I provided proof of purchase. After they connected it, the filter began leaking and sand started going into the pool. I sent photos and videos showing the leak and sand accumulation. I repeatedly asked whether the filter, pump, return line, and hose connections were installed correctly. I did not receive a clear explanation or solution. Because the smaller filter was leaking and blowing sand, I asked about installing the larger sand filter, which is what I originally wanted. Instead, Zach later focused on the larger filter and stated that its manifold was cracked and that it was “junk.” However, that was not the filter connected to the pool and leaking at the time. If the larger filter needed a part or repair, a qualified pool professional should have been able to explain that clearly and make a proper recommendation. On June 16, Zach had to ask what needed to be done, even though this was already an ongoing paid service. On June 17, Zach sent two workers who appeared unprepared and unsure of what they were doing. They arrived with no proper tools and spent time looking for a screwdriver. Zach later texted that his workers were “confused as to what’s going on” and admitted he sent “2 guys in training.” Zach then arrived at approximately 10:59 PM. Zach also suggested that a positive outcome may require “a little more work and money.”
