Costly mistake
They put a hold on my card and then changed the ticket price overnight to be $200 more than the airline site. When I opted for cancellation in the 24 hr window as a result of their retroactive increase, they left the hold on my card until after the airline price had increased as well.

SCAM!! DO NOT USE. They will take your money and NOT have the flights they sold you! We Bought 5 international business tickets sending nearly $30k. Transaction processed, and hours later told we had to pay a HIGHER price with different cities of departure. Avoid! I thought since they were part of Skyscanner, they were vetted - they are not! Use a reputable site. When you call, they will transfer you and hang up the phone. Absolute scam. Now I need to work with my credit card company to get my money back. Avoid.

NO STARS Online booking easy; Dealing with Ovago impossible

I used Ovago to purchase a RT flight Newark-Japan. It was simple to do the on-line booking. It was impossible to deal with Ovago. Only use this site if you have an ocean of patience and many hours to devote to sitting on hold REPEATEDLY. It was spring break time and I don't mind holding (over an hour even) but when I finally got through I was put on hold repeatedly (think 10-15 minutes each time) after I gave the agent my FF#; on HOLD (15 minutes) for known traveler #; ON HOLD (15 minutes) ON HOLD for passport #. WHY? These were long holds and I got the impression she was juggling multiple calls. When you finally get through and it's "your turn" they should give you the attention you deserve. When she put me on hold for seat assignments I gave up, hung up and called UA and ANA direct in less time than it took me to even get through to Ovago. I don't recall ever leaving a 1 star review.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BOOK DIRECT WITH THE AIRLINES!!

Brant is a legend
Brant was fantastic. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. He checked multiple avenues for a solution for me and eventually found a solution that was perfect. He even went above and beyond by contacting each member of my group personally. He walked me through the booking process and made sure I understood everything. Misleading free cancelation window
Misleading free cancelation window. They say "Free Same Day Cancellation" but they measure by GMT so if you book a flight in the evening in the western hemisphere you probably have only a few minutes to cancel for free. Most airlines have 24-hour policies, so I regret choosing to book through Ovago. In the future, I'll deal directly with airlines, who have more supportive policies for their customers.

They made a mistake double booking and cancelled one of them, which prompted me to get a cancellation email for my trip and confirmed online that it was cancelled. I didn't realize the other one was still active, so now I have multiple tickets for the same flight and they are not offering any refund.

Our experience with Ovago has been one of the worst customer service situations I have ever dealt with.
Due to Ovago’s failure to properly secure our travel itinerary before the day of travel, we were unable to board the flight we had already paid for. Because of their mistake, we were forced to book a completely new flight ourselves at the last minute just to get to our destination.
This resulted in well over $1,400 in out-of-pocket expenses, not including the cost of the original flights we purchased through Ovago that we were never able to use.
When we contacted Ovago, we were assigned a supervisor, who clearly acknowledged the issue and instructed us to send him our invoice for reimbursement, assuring us that Ovago would “take care of it.” So we did exactly that.
Then the runaround began.
Ovago claimed they needed time to conduct an “investigation,” which dragged on for over a month. During that time:
Not one person contacted us to confirm the details of what happened.
The supervisor never followed up even once.
We repeatedly had to chase them for updates.
After demanding a response within 48 hours, Ovago finally replied — and their solution was to offer us a $200 travel voucher.
A voucher. For future travel.
Let me be very clear: we will NEVER use Ovago again. Ever.
Offering a $200 voucher to customers who are out over $1,400 because of your company’s failure is not a resolution — it’s insulting.
At minimum, Ovago should be reimbursing:
The replacement flights we had to purchase because their itinerary failed
The original flights we paid for but were unable to board
The additional expenses caused by their mistake
Instead, they chose to drag this out for weeks and then offer a small voucher that requires us to spend more money with the very company that caused this problem in the first place.
The lack of accountability, communication, and basic customer service from Ovago has been shocking. As someone who works in the travel industry, I expected far more professionalism from a company of this size.
If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not book through Ovago.
When something goes wrong, you may find yourself paying thousands out of pocket while they disappear and offer you a coupon for your trouble.
Absolutely unacceptable.
