Unusable ticket purchased - no refund issued
Ovago issued me an international ticket that was unusable when I got to the airport. While the customer care agents are kind, I have been communicating with them for over three months and they have yet to issue a refund for an error they admit happened on the airline/ booking end. I had to buy a last minute ticket with another airline during the holidays to complete my travel plans. Mistakes happen, but making it right by issuing a refund so your clients aren’t without the service purchased and out hundreds of dollars would make ALL
the difference!
Update: as of 3-6-26, a refund was in fact issued for this ticket. I wish it wouldn’t have taken 3 months and two bad reviews to get to this point, but I do appreciate that the matter was finally resolved.

The reservation process for our trip from US to Singapore at first went well. We immediately saw the charges and conformations come through. Now, my wife and decided to sit in different classes of seat on the same flight because I wanted her to have a comfortable long flight so we got her a first class ticket and I took coach.

Ovago replied to this review with more missing and false information. They simply can not get their story straight between what they responding with here versus what they tell me on the phone. As recently as last week there is still lingering items they said they would get to me regarding one of the credits and no matter how many times I talk to them on the phone and they confirm they are emailing me confirmations, or they will call me back in 2-4 hours with an update no email and no phone call ever comes. This is the shadiest operation I have ever experienced.
Several weeks later we got a notification that my flight had changed but not hers. Ovago rep said it was flight change from the airline and they would get back to us with the change. Literally a month of phone calls to Ovago trying to get an update and they just kept saying they were waiting on the airline. Alaska Air was the airline so I called them asking about flight changes and they were unaware of what I was talking about. Finally Ovago says my flight has officially change to a different plane on a different day. By the way the trip is 5 months away. Not last minute. I asked Ovago how my flight changed but not my wife's flight. It's the same airplane. They offered no explanation except to say it was the airline. If it's the airline then it's a problem between Alaska Air and Ovago because I again called Alaska Air and verified that the flight that my was now officially booked on and I wasn't any longer was still scheduled for the original time and date with seats still available.
In the end Ovago said they could either put me on a plane on a different day or cancel my ticket. But that they COULD NOT CANCEL MY WIFE'S TICKET because it was already booked and confirmed.
Ultimately I got Capital One Credit involved to refund all of our money.

We have conducted an additional review of your case and noted that you made two separate reservations ,one in Economy Class and the other in Business Class. After the tickets were issued and confirmed, both itineraries were affected by involuntary schedule changes and cancellations. A flight option was shared and accepted. As a result, the other passenger’s ticket was successfully reissued and confirmed.
Please note that while the tickets were purchased through us, airline policies cannot be changed and must be followed. According to the carrier’s policies, the same booking class must be maintained when reissuing a ticket. In your case, the original booking class was no longer available on the selected dates. However, the booking class for the other ticket was available at the time of reissuance. We understand your desire to travel together and want to assure you that we have exhausted all possible options.
Your ticket is eligible for a full refund due to the major schedule change. However, if you wish to cancel the other ticket, it would be considered a voluntary cancellation and would therefore be subject to the airline’s policies and guidelines. I need to cancel an airline reservation…
I need to cancel an airline reservation and it was not an easy process. A Ovago rep called and her Spanish accent was so bad she sent me to another Spanish Speaker. I have a hard time hearing and only getting English as second language all their accents made it difficult to understand questions. When I did, all they wanted me to do was pick another flight. I refused twice and stated strongly I just wanted to CANCEL. Which they finally did. It also took them seconds to withdraw from my Credit Card, but the refund takes 7 days. I will never use them again!

What a scam. Found this site on Google Flights and when selected the flight and tried to book it said they would contact me in 10 minutes. I waited for the call to find out the advertised price was incorrect and they said it would be about $100 more for the flight than was listed on Google.

I booked my flight, entered all travler info, payment, etc. It was in process, just waiting for final approval. That is when the "agent" called me and texted there was an issue and price increased. They did not stand by the price, and were unhelpful in offering any solutions except to book with the airline directly.

I've been having trouble correcting my son's name to the correct sequence of first and last names for almost a month and they can't do anything about it. Next time, buy the ticket directly from the airline; OVAGO is a middleman that doesn't respect its customers and doesn't solve even the most basic problems! OVAGO gets a 0 rating.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I highly recommend you do not use them!
After seeing positive reviews, we used them to book tickets to Spain and it has been an absolute disaster. Their customer service is terrible - they failed to confirm the price of the tickets listed when I made the booking, and in order to remedy this, I've been on the phone for hours and hours and hours with still no solution. I've been transferred to multiple different departments, told I was going to receive a call back and never did, been bounced around from agent to agent. Literally one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had booking airlines flights.
Again, I repeat, no matter what kind of a deal you think you're getting, do not use this company! It's so not worth it :(
