Just had a second treatment to my lawn…
Just had a second treatment to my lawn and no improvement. Still brown. Have filed multiple complaints with TruGreen online and in person with the technician doing the service. No response and definitely no resolve to my lawn issues. The Myrtle Beach SC branch has failed. Extremely poor customer service response.

Working on improvements
We have a yearly plan. For the Spring application, they have rescheduled at least four times. In retrospect, TruGreen is working to fix the problem which is good.

Piss poor service/communication
Do NOT use this company. They failed to follow their own procedures (such as the initial lawn eval) and they don't Quality Check it. It is up to the CUSTOMER to find it, call them out on it and try to get it rescheduled. They also fail to keep you in the loop of any date changes, instead letting you flounder and wondering where they hell they are at. Go with ANY company other than this because even though they say "You are a valued customer", sure doesn't feel like both by their actions and lack of communication. Their customer service has TANKED since 2018. I will give their chat representatives credit because they atleast understood what was going on and why people are cancelling. Do not ever contact the for anything and you MUST check out bbb.org, they are 1 star with hundreds if not thousands of complaints. I will NOT be contacting them, because I know what they will do. Even though I cancelled my service LAST WEEK, they still sent out a guy on 8 April....even though I called them April 7 after received an automated phone call and said NOT to send him and if he shows up and comes on my property, I will file trespassing!! Well lo and behold, he arrived TODAY (because the office didn't do any communication), and he is lucky that I caught him before he stepped onto my property. Do NOT do business with this company as they do not care about you, no good communication and yoou are NOT a valued customer!!

I’ve been with TruGreen for 8 months…
I’ve been with TruGreen for 8 months now, and my lawn looks terrible. Most of it is brown and completely covered in Dallisgrass weeds. I’ve wasted $75 a month on a service that never delivered the “Golf Lawn” results they advertised and even left signs for in my yard. This has been a total waste of money for something I could have done better on my own. I regret ever signing up for this service. I will now buy the weed killer myself and fix my lawn so it can finally be green again

Waste of money
Last year beginning of yard/grass treatment, for a year of services and treatments cost me $2,300. So far this year, with the grass starting to turn green, I have many bald spots and dull green grass. When I had an account, there was supposed to be a guaranteed plush yard. Customer service claims I have to have an active account and the guarantee is only good for 30 days. Make sure to read the micro fine print. There is no guarantee and I am out over 2k for a yard that looks the same as before True green did anything.

inferior product
I signed up with Trugreen this way. My daughter was selling things on Market Place. A woman came over to purchase something. At this time I had just had open heart surgery. During conversion she said she worked for Trugreen. But first she asked me "who takes care of your lawn its beautiful." I said "I do." I said right now I am too weak to take care of my lawn how much would you charge to apply the lawn chemicals for the season?" She said, "I will give you a discount and do the basic applications for $60.00 per application. I thought to myself "I pay $70.00 + per bag and I apply it myself." So I signed up over the computer/online. The men who work in the field that apply the product were nothing but professional, friendly and sympathetic to what happened to my lawn. I asked them how does this lawn look to you from what it did when your company took it over? They told me this lawn looks nothing like what it did when we first started servicing it. I must have called at least 30 times in the 4 years Trugreen was servicing my lawn. I'd tell them the same thing every time, and every time someone came out to reapply the product, nothing changed the problem only got worse! until I could not deal with the problem any longer. I believe it was after the 3rd season even the out in the field management/supervisors agreed that the lawn should not look the way it does being it's into the third season. I said "especially when I handed over a excellent lawn to you" (AKA Trugreen.) Not only did they not have an answer, they actually cut my price per application down to $34.75 that included tax. To me that is an admission of guilt! That they knew they destroyed a once manicured healthy thick green lawn. Perhaps they thought I was going to sue them. Come the end of the 3rd season one of the field managers/supervisors told me they can no longer keep the price at $34.75. He said he will have to raise it to $60.000 plus tax. I said "your company turned a healthy beautiful lawn into what you've personally seen yourself," and he agreed it was not not what it once was. Now you want to raise my price! I said "what am I getting for the price increase?" "This has been an on going problem since the first season. And even one your workers who handles complaints was at my house before your company took over the lawn and she herself said your lawn is beautiful and she promised me it will stay that way." I called one of the field agents/supervisors and reminded him of a/our conversation at the end of last season. I told him You told me" if I'd like Trugreen would refund the money for the 3rd season if I dropped their services." Its obvious he/they wanted to be done with me because they knew they screwed up my lawn and could not fix it. So this was their way of (you can say) shutting me up by buying me out. He didn't "deny" saying it, what he said was "I don't remember saying that." Anyone would remember such a statement if they said it or not. His conscious spoke sooner than he could think what the words were that were coming out of his mouth. He said "he will get back to me on it." I hope he checks the "recorded" conversation we had, because every thing today is being recorded for "training purposes." He still hasn't got back to me. Bottom line people is this, go with another lawn company the product in inferior and watered down to the point of being too weak. Even one of the field applicator workers told me they put to much water in the mix. Also sometimes it's applied on the hottest days and it dries almost instantly, how the hell is it supposed to get to the roots? I was also told by a worker of Trugreen. They really don't care too much about residential they make their money with commercial contracts and gold courses. You should see my neighbor's lawn theirs is far worse than mine and yes Trugreen services their lawn to.
Trying to get back...
Trying to recover my shrubs is difficult and I rely on true green to provide service in line with that effort. Discussing my needs at last service was easy and the technician was accommodating and helpful. HE completed service as I asked and went out of his way to address some shrubs that needed a little extra care. As much as I know the this will help me reach my goal. Time will tell.

horrible customer service non existent
For starters trying to reach them by telephone is impossible their numbers listed have automated system and either it hangs up on you when you select which option you want or you get a recording on what your political standing is and to vote for 2 people or a private. party and it's a true green recording. 2nd. I have yet to reach a human now I'm in a que of 20 calls ahead of me with the 4th number I have tried. 3rd they are totally overpriced and underdeliver.

Not Worth the Time or Money
TruGreen does not allow you to cancel you account on line. You have to call them to cancel so they can cajole you to stay. I hate companies like this. There services are largely ineffective and their ability to help with a specific issue is a joke. And take a look at their pathetic response below. They are not interested in helping judging from the hassle they gave me when I called. This is a pathetic excuse for a service company.

Stay Away From These *******
They could care less about your yard. All they care about is $$$.$$. This company came out and tried to spray my yard with snow & ice on the yards. When I fronted the employee, on what he is doing. He replied " my boss told me to come out here". I told him I'm not paying so you are wasting your time. I told him to give it a week then come back out here. He said I will tell them. They were again out the next day.

i called them and got the runaround . they wanted to talk on the phone and i wanted them to come out here at my house to see about the weed control. i got tiered of that and tolled them to forget it.
