What reviewers say
AI generated
Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers reported feeling trapped due to subscription practices, with charging persisting even after free trials ended or cancellations were attempted. Reviewers frequently mentioned misleading sign-up processes, where users were automatically enrolled in extra subscriptions or faced unseen terms and conditions.
However, some people mentioned that assistance was available, with specific instances where customers were offered better tailored plans and received helpful service. A few other people also felt that the software itself could be excellent for creative and business work, and some even enjoyed specific programs.

Do not sign up for Adobe free trials.
I cancelled my Adobe Stock trial during the trial period, but Adobe still converted a separate Creative Cloud Photography plan with 1TB into an annual plan billed monthly.
I was charged TWD 704, and when I tried to cancel, Adobe showed an early termination fee of TWD 3,869. I also could not remove my saved credit card while the plan was active.
The cancellation process and billing structure are confusing and misleading. The virtual support assistant was useless. I will not trust Adobe free trials again.
The level of support is CHRONICALLY BAD. The call quality is horrific, the clueless support staff simply pass you to the next person or cut you off. A truly terrible company to be avoided at all costs.
Good professional programs that throw a lot of different offers but there is no support email listed anywhere. None of the articles that are supposedly intended for support help. I subscribed to the annual plan, logically it should end after a year, but no, it continues and still imposes a fine of 200EUR. Give them the little finger and they eat the whole hand. It is impossible to cancel subscriptions without large fines.
Cancelled my free trial two days into the seven day free trial, they gave me direct confirmation they would cancel my subscription and then they charged me anyway.
How has this company not been hit with a class action lawsuit for this? This is straight-up illegal.
This company makes their website so hard to find quick and accurate information.
Adobe is the most devious company I’ve had the misfortune to buy from.
Like many of the other buyers, I cancelled my order after 2 months because Adobe hide the small print regarding the monthly payments. I checked to see if the 3rd and 4th payments had been cancelled but they had taken payment for these two months. I tried to search their website but gave up after more than hour of searching for information and am now have to pay this rubbish company the full year’s subscription. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of taking out a subscription to read the small print.
Misleading and predatory practices for billing subscriptions, from the other reviews I can see that many other users keep experiencing the same problems. In addition, the performance of the software (Acrobat) itself does not justify its price and hasn't kept up nearly enough with developments over the years.
Good service, worked well for what I needed it for but was charged a fee I had no idea about when I cancelled.
I bought a student creative cloud subscription, had it for 4-5 months and was very happy with it, but didn't need it anymore. When I cancelled, however, I was charged a $100 early cancellation fee, which I had no idea about, and was very disappointed.
For this reason, I would not recommend Adobe to anyone, nor am I planning on returning as a customer, because the hidden fees are unreasonable and well enough hidden to the point where I didn't know what I was signing up for.
Avoid the trial version offers. I tried Adobe Acrobat for a few days, found it useless for my needs, and cancelled the trial before it expired. Despite this, I was still charged a monthly fee.
There seems to be no effective way to contact customer support. My emails bounced back, and the chat responses felt extremely basic (like in stone age) and unhelpful. Don't even try calling them—you'll likely waste hours without getting anywhere.
Horrible service. Will not let you cancel when needed without a cancellation fee for a contract that was not wanted. Either pay for it and don’t get your moneys worth or pay for the whole year and don’t get your moneys worth. Terrible. They used to be fair with their pricing but now they are over priced for what they are.
My Adobe Stock contributor account was suspended for 'suspicious activity,' but I was not provided with specific details about the alleged violation. I had over $100 in earned royalties pending and am seeking clarification regarding both the suspension and the status of my earnings, i have always bad experience with adobe, and ther are not paying hard earning money.
Dealing with them has been an absolute nightmare. Wanting a refund for a membership I didn't want in the first place and to get my membership canceled, I've had to deal with them so far for 3 hours and I still haven't gotten my refund yet. One of the advisors I was speaking to, Ateeb, even disconnected the chat after I was jumping through his hoops for an hour. Whatever you do, don't work with these lowlifes. You will regret it with every fiber of your being!!!
BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL
Do not provide any bank details to this company because even if you attempt to cancel you will not be able. Even if you have never used their product you will be tied in. My bank even tried to cancel it from their end they revised the amount and were able to intercept and continue taken. I will now have to change my card entirely
I hate adobe acrobat with every bone in my body. It might be the most inconvenient, useless tool I've every used, and I'm forced to use it for so many projects. It makes my blood boil with rage when I can't make a simple change in a document. I then get sent down a rabbit hole of searching online for how to do something that should be so simple it doesn't need searching. Like what do you mean I can't remove a basic highlighted section from a document? Why are there no clickable options like in Word where I can remove a highlight? Was this software made by an baby? It takes a million years to load a basic pdf if I don't have a state of the art computer. I delete one sentence and the entire document suddenly rearranges every possible section. Please god someone make this godforsaken application better.
I am extremely disappointed with Adobe's subscription policy. I subscribed to Photoshop without realizing that cancelling before the end of the annual plan would result in a hefty cancellation fee. Being forced to pay nearly half of the remaining annual cost, even when I no longer use the software, feels unfair and misleading.
The pricing terms are confusing, and customers should be clearly warned about these penalties before subscribing. A subscription should provide flexibility, not make users feel trapped. This experience has left me feeling scammed and frustrated.
Because of this, I have lost trust in Adobe and will think twice before using or recommending any Adobe products again. Great software should be backed by customer-friendly policies, and unfortunately Adobe has failed in that regard.
Stay away from this company.
I signed up for what was advertised as a free trial, but it wasn't for me, so I cancelled within a few hours. Despite this, I was charged from the start, meaning the trial was not actually free. To make matters worse, I was then charged a £24.90 cancellation fee.
The most frustrating part is that there is no customer service to contact. There is nobody available to speak with, and getting help is virtually impossible.
I would have given this company 0 stars if that were an option.
Good idea, but the overall experience needs improvement
I had high expectations based on the reviews and information available, but my experience was unfortunately below what I expected.
The service itself has potential, and I can see why some customers have had positive experiences. However, I ran into several issues that made the process more frustrating than it needed to be. Communication wasn't always clear, responses took longer than expected, and there were times when I felt uncertain about what was happening next.
What disappointed me most was the lack of consistency. Some parts of the experience were smooth, while others felt unorganized and left me searching for answers on my own. As a customer, I value transparency and timely support, and that's an area where I think significant improvement is needed.
I'm not saying the company is bad, but I do believe there is room for improvement in customer service, communication, and overall user experience. Hopefully these issues can be addressed because the underlying product/service does seem promising.
