What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers reported feeling trapped due to subscription practices, with charging persisting even after free trials ended or cancellations were attempted. Reviewers frequently mentioned misleading sign-up processes, where users were automatically enrolled in extra subscriptions or faced unseen terms and conditions. However, some people mentioned that assistance was available, with specific instances where customers were offered better tailored plans and received helpful service. A few other people also felt that the software itself could be excellent for creative and business work, and some even enjoyed specific programs.

Adobe Subscription Locked Me In And I Can't Get Out!

Adobe messed up the user interface for editing PDFs and renders it unusable for me. So I decided to choose a different program. I canceled my subscription through PayPal because I couldn't find it on the Adobe website. Then I get an email to update my payment method. Since I don't want it, I went to the site. I found a place that says manage your subscription. But it gave me a popup that says I can't cancel my subscription unless I update my payment method first. Basically they want to charge me then force me to dispute the charge after the fact. I found the "delete my account" section and clicked that. Same thing. You cannot delete your account unless you update your payment method. Nope. Not doing it. This is ridiculous. For myself and my agency, Chris McElroy SEO Agency, I will recommend to my clients to use anything but Adobe and recommend the same to everyone else. The law says it should be as easy to cancel a subscription as it is to sign up for one. @Adobe @AdobeForBiz

Tricked and charging cancellation fees for a trial!

Not clear at all! I only wanted to trial it to see whether I could learn how to use the features - next thing I try to cancel it, it tells me I’ll have to pay a early cancellation fee of just over £98 - ridiculous! I have been trying every month since and get the same fee so I can’t even cancel?! It’s only just started to go lower (over 6 months later) so beware if you want to try and “test” any of the features - NOT a genuine trial system - complete scam and waste of money. I’ll never use or recommend them again. Plenty of better editing software now anyway just a shame they left such a bad taste in my mouth!

A fallen giant—Adobe is stuck in the past with predatory pricing. Avoid.

Adobe is a prime example of a great company with an even bigger downfall. Today, I cannot recommend them at all. In the beginning, learning Photoshop and later Lightroom was an essential step if you wanted to be a professional graphic editor or photographer. Over time, however, the software changed from something you owned to something you rent. Today, their model feels like daylight robbery, forcing users into bundles and products they don't need, or that have been vastly outperformed by the competition. It is no longer worth falling into this company's trap. Nobody in their right mind will demand that you know these tools if you are proficient in newer, better alternatives. If an employer still forces you to use them, it might even be time to look for a different company for your future. Adobe is dead; sadly, they just haven’t realized it yet. 1 star.

Stay away from Adobe ifStay Away from Adobe – Charged Without Clear Confirmation and Impossible to Cancel you value your…

Stay away from Adobe if you value your money. I was charged for a subscription even though I never received any confirmation email or clear notice that I had subscribed. The first time I realized anything was wrong was when I saw money taken from my bank account. This is completely unacceptable. What made the experience even worse was trying to cancel. The cancellation process is confusing, frustrating, and incredibly difficult to find. It should never be this hard to stop a subscription. Customers deserve transparency, not hidden menus and unnecessary obstacles. I have completely lost trust in Adobe. A company of this size should treat its customers with honesty and respect, not leave them wondering why they've been charged and then make them fight to stop it. I want my money refunded immediately. I paid for something I never knowingly agreed to use, and I expect Adobe to take responsibility and return my money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Adobe to anyone. There are plenty of alternatives that are far more transparent and customer-friendly.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. Steer clear at all costs. Signed up for a free trial for one document, cancelled it on the same day and have been charged monthly for 3 months since, and the system makes it almost impossible to cancel. There is no reason they should be charging me. Prior to this I signed up to a yearly subscription which told me I would need to pay about £150 just to cancel - the cancellation process is also nearly impossible. Stay away at all costs.

Shareholders take note.

Shareholders, investors, and short sellers need to take a close look at this company. It only takes a minute to see that something appears to have gone seriously wrong. In my view, the company is gouging its customers. Much of its customer support has been outsourced to India, customer service has deteriorated dramatically, and customers are reportedly being enrolled in services they never knowingly signed up for. Even worse, many say they find it extremely difficult—if not impossible—to cancel. That is my case today. For a major NASDAQ-listed company, this is an unacceptable way to treat customers. If these practices continue, I struggle to see how the business can maintain its reputation or sustain long-term growth. If you're looking for potential short opportunities, this is a company that deserves very close attention.

Totally Incompetent

**Adobe lost years of my signed business documents and templates, then stopped responding** Adobe Acrobat Sign has been an absolute disaster for my business. I used Adobe’s e-signature services for years for signed business documents and reusable templates. These are not casual files or minor convenience features. They are business records, signed agreements, and working templates that I relied on to operate my company. After attempting to use or upgrade the service, Adobe’s account system created a conflict between an existing Acrobat Sign account and a new business account. What should have been a simple administrative issue turned into hours of circular login screens, failed redirects, profile conflicts, “contact your administrator” messages even though I am the sole administrator and only user, and support representatives who could not fix the problem. The result is indefensible: Adobe lost access to years of my signed documents and templates. Their own support admitted they no longer had access to them. After that, they stopped answering. I have now spent hours dealing with Adobe over a problem their own system created, and I still do not have my signed documents, my templates, or even a functioning ability to create new templates. This is not merely inconvenient. This is direct interference with a business. Adobe sells Acrobat Sign as a business document and e-signature platform. Businesses use it for legally significant signed records. Losing access to years of signed documents and templates is not a minor technical glitch. It is a catastrophic failure of a service that is supposed to be trusted with important records. Adobe’s product structure is a confusing mess: Acrobat, Acrobat Sign, Acrobat Pro, Acrobat Studio, Admin Console, personal profiles, business profiles, old Sign accounts, new Sign accounts, and account migration screens that fail. Each part points somewhere else, and nobody at Adobe seems able or willing to take responsibility when the system breaks. The worst part is the indifference. After wasting my time for hours, Adobe admitted they no longer had access to my signed documents and then stopped responding. That is not customer support. That is abandonment. I would strongly caution any business against relying on Adobe Acrobat Sign for important signed records or reusable contract templates. Do not assume Adobe will preserve your documents. Do not assume you will keep access to your templates. Do not assume support will fix the problem if their account system breaks. Based on my experience, Adobe can lose access to years of signed business documents and then simply leave you stranded. For a company handling signed business documents, this is beyond unacceptable.

constant stutters

`nothing works. software is unoptimized. bad. AI features that are lagging. i have 64gb DDR5 of ram, and my adobe app constantly glitches, freezes, lags. I guess thats the problem with their coding. this is absolutely unprofessional to sell products in such state

Impossible to Contact Customer Support for a Billing Issue

Without doubt one of the most frustrating customer support experiences I have ever encountered. Adobe continues to attempt to charge me for a subscription, yet it is virtually impossible to contact them to resolve the issue. Every support route sends you around in circles. The online support portal requires you to sign in, but I no longer have access to an Adobe account, making it impossible to submit a ticket or request assistance. It is a complete catch-22. The advertised telephone support was no better. After working through the automated menu options, the call simply disconnected instead of connecting me to a representative. This happened repeatedly. I spent a considerable amount of time searching for a customer service email address, but none appears to be available. Every route leads back to the same account login page that I cannot access. A company of Adobe's size should provide a clear and accessible way for customers to resolve billing disputes, particularly when they are continuing to request payment. After exhausting every avenue available to me, I have felt compelled to submit evidence to the Competition and Markets Authority as part of its ongoing investigation into Adobe's consumer practices. The product may work but tje ovrall experience is exceptionally poor and trust with billing is zero.

Charged for something I never wanted

I signed up for a trial with Adobe Acrobat Pro, as the only way I could use it for one document I needed to edit. I failed to spot that it had also signed me up for AI Assistant for Acrobat, which I didn't want, as a separate subscription. I cancelled Adobe Acrobat Pro before the free trial ended, but then got charged a month's subscription for the AI thing that I never wanted. They should make the subscription process much clearer and not bundle different subscriptions together.
