VASA is biggest rip off of the 21st…

VASA is biggest rip off of the 21st century and I would be 1st to support class action lawsuit. Haven't been to VASA for almost a year. My wife has been trying to cancel for las 6 months without success. It's obvious this is the cash cow side of their business....screwing people on membership dues. How sad, with all the negative reviews hopefully they'll go bankrupt soon. They definitely don't know anything about customer service.

Vasa Personal training stole many training sessions

Prepare to enter the Twilight Zone... PERSONAL TRAINING PROGRAM at Vasa 3020 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 I work a lot. So I got a personal trainer to make it easier to work with my schedule. I found that scheduling was accomplished via texting with the trainer. I was never made aware of another way. He suggested group classes because they last longer. I obliged, but that meant arriving at a time when I was sometimes still working. We texted often, since I often could not make the times he set (1-2 offerings a week). Even when I pointed out I could not easily make the times he was setting, things didn't change. In my 9 months with Vasa, I missed one class a month due to bookclub. I missed at least 5 classes due to vacation. And I was able to make the rest of the sessions only 75% of time due to work. We could only make up 2-3 sessions, because scheduling was so hard. The trainer also cancelled 3 sessions himself. Two of those times I had already shown up for class. The most recent time it was 24 hrs before class. I broke my finger on the day we were supposed to have that make-up session. So that never got made up. I never complained to management about not being able to make sessions because the trainer and I frequently discussed (in person, by text) making them up. I assumed he was keeping track of my presence/absences. I froze my training account for 3 months due to finger fracture surgery (I kept my gym membership). I let upper mngt (email) and my trainer know (text) my goal was to make up 5 sessions eventually. Once my finger healed, I accomplished one make-up session (organized with my trainer). But then, as usual, it was hard to schedule the next one. I asked Emma the "personal training manager" at the front desk about a trainer with more openings. She said it did not look like I was due make-up sessions and I could not make sessions up until she spoke with upper mngt. She said she would call me the next day. She never called. My trainer texted offers to help out, apologizing but never explaining why my account showed no make-ups due. I wrote to upper management to cancel my training account explaining that my make-up lessons had been taken away. They asked to explore the issue and after 2 weeks this was their response: "After speaking with the club, I understand they reviewed your account and confirmed there are no remaining Personal Training sessions available. They also shared that your trainer had previously allowed you to participate in group sessions as a courtesy after your available sessions had been used." So not only do I have NO makeups but Ive been getting free sessions haha. Did the "nice" trainer make this up because he wasnt recording presence/absence? Or most likely, based on his texts, they never spoke to him. Vasa's lack of transparency, organization, and professionalism has been astounding. Apparently upper management and the front desk understand little about what is actually going on with personal training. Customer service was unwilling to listen or properly research the issue (they never asked me which sessions were missed or acknowledged whether absences were recorded)- and their ultimate response seen above was dishonest. That made me cancel general Vasa membership as well. It's a shame. I liked the gym's equipment and my trainer seemed nice.

Just joined and so far I'm not impressed. At the castleton location on center run I saw someone stay in sauna dripping with sweat then rinsed himself off in pool water, absolutely disgusting. I went to Eagle Creek location on 38th street indianapolis indiana and the pool was even open to customers. I am absolutely speechless that I pay but don't have amenities offered not available to me. Horrible, Horrible customer service. Everything is always to the benefit of the merchant yet the inconvenience is on the customer. Not fair, not right.

Paramount Acceptance 3rd Party vendor for Vasa

The staff at VASA Fitness have been amazing, and I want to make it clear that my complaint is **not with VASA directly**. My issue is with the third-party billing company they use, **Paramount Acceptance**. This is where I believe the negative review should be directed. I recently had to replace my credit card after it was lost. I went to VASA **twice** to provide my new card information, only to discover that Paramount Acceptance continued attempting to charge my old card. Each failed payment resulted in a **$25 late fee**, even though I had made multiple attempts to update my payment information. When I decided to cancel my membership, I was also charged a **$30 cancellation fee**. My interactions with Paramount Acceptance have been extremely frustrating. The staff I spoke with were rude and unprofessional, and my concerns were not handled appropriately. I requested a cancellation confirmation letter be emailed to me several hours ago, and I still have not received it. Even more concerning, when I asked what would happen if I refused to pay the late fees that resulted from their continued attempts to charge the old card, I was told the balance could be sent to collections. Again, **VASA staff have been great**. My negative experience is specifically with **Paramount Acceptance and the way they handled my billing and cancellation**. I hope this issue can be addressed because customers should not be charged late fees when they have made reasonable efforts to update their payment information.

A nightmare to do business with these mercenaries

Lots of fine print in their contracts enforcing terms of cancellation of PT as well as memberships. The employees do not listen to the customer and as a result give you incorrect information concerning the above. But this does not stop them from quoting chapter and verse from the contract in the course of enforcing it, even if you tell them you tried to cancel and were told it was all taken care of by employees working the check-in counter. Absolutely no understanding of dire hardship-they just want their money. I would absolutely NOT recommend VASA to anyone. My membership is up in two months. Their app is limited yet they expect this to be their customers' resource to do what needs to be done. I have "penciled in" to go on the app once I've reached six months membership so as to avoid the cancellation fee. I'll be elated to be done with these crooks.

If I can give this company 1 star I would. Buyer be aware that once you sign up you can not cancel in the first 6 months. If you are late on a payment they will charge you 25$ each membership if you owe money they will not let you cancel or freeze your membership. This company is the worst not flexible gym is not that great and staff will just try to sell you a product and not explain that you are stuck in a membership. Customer service sucks they rarely answer the phone unless you call before 8am . Don’t do it run! This is a complete scam I should have read the reviews before I signed up

They have surely earned their one and a…

They have surely earned their one and a half star Rating. today was the first day I went to use the facility. On my tour, the week before, I was made aware that half the machines in the recovery room don't work. I was told young people often misuse them and parts can be hard to get. The hot tub is also unusable, they're waiting for a part on that also. My usual gym has closed their pool for a few months. I'm in search of a pool in which to exercise. The vasa Pool was much too cold. I gave it a good five minute chance going up and down the stairs trying to warm up. Something I never had to do at Challenge Fitness. I did not warm up, the cold made my back muscles tense up. So I immediately read the reviews, and reviewers consensus is "usually cold and occasionally bearable". So I spoke to Nancy at the desk, and she assured me, she just read the temperature. In fact, showed me a picture, and it read 82 degrees. If it had been eighty two I would have happily been exercising, so obviously there was gonna be no chance that this would be rectified. I didn't go to Vasa to critique the place. I went there to utilize it. I felt Nancy was unresponsive to my questions regarding the pool temperature and the consistent reviews of the cold temperature. More than that she was defensive. On the tour the pool was empty as it was today. It's a shame because water helps me stay buoyant, and I can exercise more freely. I believe other elderly people use it for the same purpose. So for people who would regularly want to use the pool and recovery room. This is definitely not the place to go. Zero stars in this area. Zero stars for Nancy, she was quite dismissive.I got the feeling that she had heard this complaint before. I hadn't even approached her. I was speaking to a different staff member and she interjected.

Terrible customer service with billing

Terrible customer service with billing. Was billed for multiple accounts. Wait times to talk to staff and follow up on billing issues ridiculously long wait times. Cancellation fees not waived despite VASA errors in billing. EXCELLENT experience with personal trainer Nolan.

Unfair Billing Policy That Has Cost Me Hundreds !

I am extremely disappointed with VASA Fitness' billing practices. My membership is $24.99 per month, but if the automatic payment is declined, VASA immediately charges an additional $25 return fee. There is no grace period and no opportunity to fund your account later that same day before the fee is added. This has now happened to me four months in a row. Every single month, my $24.99 membership turns into a $49.99 payment because VASA attempts to draft my account once, and if the funds are unavailable at that exact moment, they immediately charge a $25 return fee. It doesn't matter if the money becomes available later that same day. I understand that my membership agreement states a declined payment may result in a fee. However, I believe the way this policy is enforced is unreasonable. Members who fully intend to pay should be given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the payment before being charged a fee that is essentially the same amount as the monthly membership. Over the last four months alone, I have paid approximately $100 in return fees. That is money that could have gone toward my membership, groceries, or other bills. A same-day grace period or even one automatic retry later in the day would be a much more reasonable and customer-friendly policy. The gym itself is great, and I enjoy working out there. My complaint is not about the staff or the equipment. My complaint is with a billing policy that I believe unfairly penalizes members over the timing of an automatic payment. I hope VASA's management reviews this policy and considers making it more fair for its members.

Vasa Fitness gives the impression of…

Vasa Fitness gives the impression of being a friendly place and uses banners to encourage new customers to sign up. However, only after signing the contract do you discover that freezing or cancelling your membership incurs additional fees. There is also a mandatory annual fee of $59.99. I waited over five hours for a callback, and on top of this, when they called me back, they put me in the queue for an additional 30 minutes. Furthermore, the customer service is extremely rude. The gym is always overcrowded, with everyone fighting for access to the equipment. I definitely do not recommend this chain. My husband and I certainly won't be coming back.

Cancelled my membership in person and…

Cancelled my membership in person and it didn't go through. They continued charging me for an extra year even though I moved out of state. Would not refund me because they couldn't prove I tried to cancel. They never sent me a cancellation email for either time I tried to cancel my membership even though the second time a year later it was successful. DO NOT USE VASA FITNESS. Neither the support chat or helpline were helpful at all. They suggested I had no proof of prior cancellation requests even though I cancelled my gym membership in person over a year ago. They conveniently can't find any record of it.

The customer service is a joke

The customer service is a joke. Not only were there hidden fees but they was no sympathy what so ever. Every representative i spoke with was rude and treated like the whole situation like it was my fault. On the other end the workers were not trained properly and i was given wrong information which led to more fees that i payed for. This company is a money pit who values nothing but profit and nothing for the guest. I will never go back to this gym or affiliate myself with this company ever again.

Decent Gym, the Clientele, not so much

I’ve had a mixed experience at VASA. There’s a good variety of equipment, but the machines I rely on most—like the hack squat and leg press—are almost always in use, which makes it hard to get a consistent workout. The overall “dress-like-it’s-a-nightclub” vibe just isn’t for me. I’m there to work out, not feel like I walked into a social media shoot or a night out. The atmosphere at the Zuni location leans heavily toward a younger, appearance-focused crowd, and I’ve honestly never felt this uncomfortable in a gym before. It’s distracting, and it takes away from what I’m there to do. That said, the classes are great—well run, focused, and the one place I actually feel comfortable and can just work out. The downside is the added cost. Overall, VASA has some strong points, but between the consistently busy equipment and an environment that doesn’t feel like a fit for me, I’ll be looking for a gym that’s more workout-focused and a better match overall.

Worst experience ever at VASA Fitness

Worst experience ever at VASA Fitness. The staff behavior was extremely unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unsupportive. Instead of helping members respectfully, they talk rudely and create an uncomfortable environment. Customer service is terrible, and they do not care about member concerns at all. A gym should feel welcoming and motivating, but this place feels stressful because of the staff attitude. Very disappointed with how I was treated. I would not recommend this gym to anyone unless management seriously improves staff behavior and professionalism.

Not a corporate culture I'm willing to to support

About 2 weeks ago I was on a treadmill, which is close to the front, when this woman came in yelling at all the staff. I thought she was a drunk that they were going to call security on. She was the MANAGER! (Andy? Amy? something like that) screaming at her entire team because some big wig from corporate was coming. She grabbed a broom away from one of the young girls, yelling that she was doing it wrong. I saw her break a young lady down to tears for no reason. I thought the woman who was crying was the manager. Why would you destroy the morale of your team before some hot shot comes? The gym is always clean and they never have machines down. The huge assortment of equipment is why I go there. The staff up front acts like they're too good to bother with you. They group together and chat or look at each others phones, and then act like you're the jerk because you need them to do their job. Any company that allows this kind of behavior from management is not a place I'm going to support. I've canceled my membership.

This GYM is overpriced plus Cancellation FEES!!

This chandler VASA Gym is now,NOT worth the money. 1. They are showing their true colors by being a money greedy corporate gym. MORE than 70% the gym is now premium / studio requiring upgrade to STUDIO memebership. Meaning u must pay $44min monthly to use those.( BTW,$44 monthly price is out of reach for most people, for a gym membership anyway.) 2. Fitness Level Membership although semi affordable at $25,does NOT give you much for that price in terms of amenities..For example: organized classes such as Yoga , free weight lifting etc, are now being switched over to STUDIO MEMBERSHIP exclusively..for $44. 3. No more cinema cardio/treadmill room. This was a unique plus to this facility. I used it exclusively. Now RIPPED OUT and GONE! 4.. Less space, all the weight machines are jammed in together as gym is more crowded ...I go and use a weight machine and feel like I'm bumping into the next person next to me.. Reason : Chandler Vasa inherited 1000 extra members in November, because the LA Fitness, a mile away closed down!!!!,- So VASA made out like a gold mine taking in those exta members and their cash. 5.Regular VASA members from Pre- November 2025, NOW feel the over-crowding. As there is now a waiting line to even use a massage chair after a work out. Whereas before this influx of new members in Nov., this was NEVER an issue for the massage room. 6. Value is not worth the price anymore,, Vasa charges $25 for FITNESS MEMBERSHIP.. And the price of STUDIO is outrageous at $44 per MONTH..!!!! 7.Here's another MONEY HUNGRY GREEDY policy of Vasa... If you Book a studio class and have to cancel AT LAST..MINUTE,(less than 12 hour window), you will PAY a $3 penalty fee for cancellation /Per class!!!!! 8. Corporate greed is getting out of hand. whats NEXT ? Requiring STUDIO membership to use : The pool ? ALL treadmills? ALL barbell/ free weights? ALL senior fitness classes? The massage chairs? The basketball court? The racquetball court? ANY other organized class such as: DANCE SILVERSNEAKERS SENIOR FIT? I can see in the FUTURE STUDIO membership required to attend SENIOR FIT/SILVERSNEAKERS classes 8. If your going to require STUDIO membership to use ALL amenities then you should make the price affordable for ALL income levels.. A flat fee of $21.99 For all STUDIO MEMBERSHIPS ..This way EVERYONE can partake of ALL amenities, regardless of income levels. I used to be a fan of Vasa ,, but this has gone too far. Vasa used to be unique but now it's actually MORE expensive than EoS or La Fitness. Sad but true. ESPECIALLY with the greedy cancellation Fees and the $10 NO SHOW FEES ON ALL STUDIO CLASSES!!..Ridiculous!!! Corporate GREED STRIKES AGAIN!!!!

VASA Customer service is horrible a…

VASA Customer service is horrible a woman hang up on me. Just now another person hang up on me just asking her if I CAN ask her a question. Terrible company. I signed up at the gym almost a month ago and who ever helped me didn't telling all the hiding fees if I canceled. So last week I canceled my membership because I was experiencing neck pain having had two mayor surgeries and someone who works there in Herriman Utah gym told me she will cancel for me and not to worry about paying the $25 cancelation fee, she will waiver that. So I called today and nothing has been done plus they told me that I need to pay $110 plus $25. Im so frustrated with all the scams this company is doing. Why we can't have honest companies. Plus I wanted to pay cash for goggles to use in the Red Therapy room and they told dont worry everything is taking off, so I thank them thinking that it was free, but not. She charge it to my account. Why they are so deceiving?
